Reading Defense Drill – Penetrate and Kick With Hand-Off

This basketball drill is great to teach players how to move the ball quickly to punish the defense for help side defense.

Keys to success: The ‘Passer’ and ‘Shooter’ must read the defender recovering and decide who will have the best opportunity to shoot. Quick passes are key to defeating a defense that recovers quickly.

Elapsed Time: After each player has had equal time at each spot (you determine how many reps they get) then tally up the score and determine a winning team.
