Defensive Drill – Close-Outs and Shuffles
This basketball drill is great to teach the fundamentals of defensive stance, footwork, positioning and communication all while getting some conditioning in.
Keys to success: Defender must stay under control during the close-outs and slide and back pedal hard when called upon. Use competition to get your players maximum effort, try to break your record for most times finishing the drill in five minutes.
Elapsed Time: Run the drill for five minutes.
